HOA Special Meeting
SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE
Kimberly Woods Association Members:
The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works has reached out to the Board about the design and construction of a stream restoration project necessary to comply with Federal and State clean water requirements. The stream undergoing restoration is Forked Creek which flows behind the east side of the community. They are requesting the transfer of Drainage Easements from Kimberly Woods Village Association to allow Anne Arundel County to complete this subject stream restoration project. (*Documents for review can be found on our community website at www.kwva-arnold.com.)
Essentially, this means that the county will assume responsibility for the drainage issues along Forked Creek. And there is no cost to the community.
Our Bylaws require 2/3 of the association members to vote yes for us to transfer the easements to the county.
A special meeting was held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, via Google Meet.
The voting is currently being conducted and will remain open for a period of time to get the votes necessary to respond to the county. If we have your email address, we will be utilizing our new HOAPay software, that has a “Survey” feature, to collect votes. Otherwise, we will be going door-to-door. In addition, we are looking into an option to vote electronically via our community website, details to follow.
